Terms of service.

The short version

SoccerSkills curates third-party YouTube videos into structured training sessions for youth players ages 10 to 12 at launch (expanding). The product is free for families. Adults are responsible for the safety of any training their kids do here.

The longer version is below. It is written to be readable rather than to maximize coverage. If a court ever needs to interpret something here against us, we accept that.

Safety disclaimer

SoccerSkills is not a substitute for a coach, a trainer, a physician, or a parent watching. Drills are organized by age and pillar, and high-impact work (plyometrics, loaded strength) is gated by progression, but kids vary. If your kid has a known injury, growth-plate concern, or medical condition, talk to your pediatrician before they start.

A parent or other supervising adult should be present, or at least nearby, for any session involving loaded movement, plyometric work, or new mechanics. Videos flagged as "supervision required" mean it.

By creating an account and adding a kid profile, you are acknowledging that you understand this and that you are the one responsible for safety, not us.

Who can use it

  • Parents or legal guardians of kids ages 10 to 12 (we launch with this age band and are expanding). You create the account; you add the kid profile.
  • Kids only use SoccerSkills through a profile a parent set up. We do not collect any direct kid signup. See the privacy policy for what data we hold and how COPPA is honored.

What we provide

  • Access to YouTube-hosted training videos, organized by age, position, and content pillar (technical, speed, strength, goalkeeper).
  • Generated 20-minute sessions tailored to each kid's age and position.
  • A weekly Sunday recap email and a midweek nudge email when a kid's training has lapsed. You can stop both by replying STOP to either email.

What we do not provide

  • We do not host the videos. They live on YouTube. The YouTube iframe player governs playback. If a video is removed from YouTube, it disappears from SoccerSkills too.
  • We do not provide a coach. The phrase "curated" means a human reviews every video before it appears in the catalog, not that there is a credentialed coach on the other end of a chat.
  • We do not store video, audio, or photos of your kid.

Pricing

SoccerSkills is free for families. Always. We make money from other channels, not from a paid tier behind these drills. If that ever changes, current accounts will not be moved to a paid plan without explicit opt-in.

One of those other channels is affiliate marketing on the blog. Some product links inside blog posts are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. The drill catalog itself is never affiliate-influenced. See /disclosures for the full policy.

Account responsibilities

  • Keep your password and your kid's passcode private.
  • Don't share your account with people outside your family.
  • Don't try to break the product, scrape it, or use it to train another product. We will revoke access if we catch this.

Termination

You can delete your account anytime from the dashboard. That deletes the parent record, every kid profile under it, and every progress row. See the privacy policy for the specifics.

We can also close an account if it is being misused (the bullet points above). We will tell you why if we do.

Liability

We provide SoccerSkills "as is". The drills are age-organized and the safety labels are honest, but soccer is a physical sport and kids can get hurt doing physical things. We are not liable for sports injuries, even if they happen during a session generated here.

If something goes wrong with the service itself (downtime, data loss, a wrong video shown), our cap on liability is the amount you paid us, which is zero.

Changes

We will update these terms when something material changes. If we make a change that meaningfully restricts what you or your kid can do, we will email you before it takes effect. We will not make this email opt-out-only.

Governing law

California, United States. Disputes get resolved in California courts. We will try a phone call first.
